I decided to do my listening exercise while I was waiting in Ovalwood across from the auditorium.
It was about 9:30pm, so most people were already on their way home. At first all I heard was the fan systems going on and off, and then as I kept listening I could hear faint knocking sounds, maybe coming from the fans, I thought I kept hearing people talking far away, but I couldn't tell. I also thought I hear someone walk in the far right door and then turn around and walk out, I even thought I saw their leg. (I think I was just freaking myself out). I heard the ladies who work in the cafe putting things away, I could hear the wind swirling around the building, and through the trees. And then I did hear footsteps and keys jingling, it was security checking all the doors. My listening experience was really creepy, especially because I was alone, at night, and it was storming.

Stop Motion Video
My animation is just about my kitchen coming alive at night, this was pretty much plan B. I started taking pictures for my first idea and it wasn't coming together how I wanted it to, so I came up with this idea! I just used my tripod to stabilize my camera, and I had to bring in a giant lamp so I would have enough light because I was shooting this at night and the lights in my kitchen are not very bright.
I love the idea of inanimate objects "coming to life", although there is quite a big of work involved in order to get it just right. I had to delete a few shots because I kept getting anxious and taking pictures before my whole body was actually out of the frame. I think it turned out pretty successful! The conflict is just that the objects that move around at night don't always go back to where they originally were, so whoever comes into the kitchen next is left with a weird feeling that someone (or something) was in their kitchen while they were sleeping. Obviously the resolution is that eventually the objects are returned to where they came from, but then the cycle starts over again.

Story board
My story board doesn't really make sense, I just started drawing any ideas that came to mind, I'm not sure that I'll be able to work them all in, I'm still trying to think of a plot for this animation.
